At Foxfire & Fable, our apparel is custom printed to order on Comfort Colors 1717 unisex tees using high-quality Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing techniques. To ensure you get the perfect fit and keep your shirt looking vibrant for years to come, please review our sizing chart and care instructions below.

1. Sizing Chart

Measurements are taken with the garment lying flat. Chest width is measured across the front from armpit to armpit. Body length is measured from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem.

Fit Tip: The Comfort Colors 1717 features a relaxed, classic unisex fit made from 100% ring-spun cotton. For a standard fit, choose your usual size. If you prefer an oversized aesthetic, consider sizing up 1–2 sizes!

2. Garment-Dye Care Instructions

Comfort Colors garments undergo a specialized garment-dyeing process to achieve their signature vintage, lived-in colors and soft texture. Because of this process, loose pigment dye may remain on the fabric after production.

Important Initial Wash Notice:

We strongly recommend washing your garment separately in cold water for the first 1 to 2 washes to prevent any potential color transfer or bleeding onto other items.

Daily Care Checklist:

  • Wash Cold & Inside Out: Turn the garment inside out prior to washing to protect the printed artwork. Always use cold water with like colors.

  • Use Mild Detergent: Wash with standard mild detergents. Avoid stain removers, harsh chemicals, bleach, or fabric softeners, as these can strip garment pigments and degrade DTG inks.

  • Tumble Dry Low or Hang Dry: For maximum graphic and fabric longevity, line drying or laying flat is best. If using a dryer, tumble dry on low heat.

  • Do Not Dry Clean: Dry cleaning chemicals can react poorly with both garment dyes and DTG print formulations.

  • Ironing: Never apply an iron directly to the printed design. If ironing is necessary, turn the shirt inside out and use a low heat setting.
